Designed by the abbot Jean Delagrive (1689-1757) in 1728, this map of Paris shows the French capital still surrounded by fields and whose center is not yet entirely built. In the title block in the top right corner we can read the title and the author’s name. All around, we can see various figures such as the Pity and the Justice and, below, Minerva, Neptune, Mercure and Venus.
