The Plan - Guide of the city of Toledo was published in 1882 by José Reinoso y Torija (1830-1903), a well-known Spanish engraver, cartographer, and calligrapher. After a military career, during which he learned the art of drawing and cartography, he was invited to direct the records section of the Geographic Institute of Madrid, where he drew important maps of Spanish territory, including a large and detailed map of Madrid on 17 sheets.
