Multi-view Puzzle - London
Discover London through Fredun Shapur’s distinctive graphic and geometric style.
Originally created in 1964, this puzzle presents a colourful and stylised interpretation of urban life in London, bringing together some of the city’s most recognisable elements in a dynamic composition full of movement.
A striking red London double-decker bus takes centre stage, while the London Underground symbol appears among the different scenes. Around them, passengers, public transport, workers and small details of everyday life bring the composition to life, all rendered through geometric shapes, simple lines and a bold colour palette.
But this is not a conventional puzzle. Its distinctive multi-view format allows the pieces to be assembled from any of the four sides, making it possible for several people to build the image at the same time, each working from a different direction. The result is a shared experience of collaboration and discovery, with no single starting point.
Fredun Shapur’s original design, first produced by Galt Toys in 1964, continues to feel remarkably contemporary, combining simplicity, colour and geometric forms. This current edition is published by Éditions Piqpoq.
