Multi-View Puzzle - Zoo

Step into a colourful animal world through the distinctive graphic style of Fredun Shapur.

Originally created in 1964, this puzzle brings together a playful collection of animals and visitors in a bold composition filled with geometric shapes, simple lines and vibrant colours.

A spotted leopard stretches across the upper part of the scene, alongside a monkey hanging from a branch. An elephant, a zebra and a giraffe appear in separate sections, while a playful monkey swings through the centre of the composition. Around them, visitors explore the zoo, creating small scenes of interaction between people and animals.

But this is not a conventional puzzle. Its distinctive Multi-View format allows the pieces to be assembled from any of the four sides, making it possible for several people to build the image at the same time, each working from a different direction. The result is a shared experience of collaboration and discovery, with no single starting point.

Fredun Shapur’s original design, first produced in 1964, continues to feel remarkably contemporary, combining expressive animal figures, geometric forms and a distinctive palette of ochre, purple, green and cream. This current edition is published by Éditions Piqpoq.
