Discover Venice through Ughi’s extraordinary 1729 map

Explore Venice through one of the city’s most remarkable historic maps. Created by Lodovico Ughi in 1729, this impressive document measures 128 × 177 cm in its original format and combines exceptional artistic detail with scientific and documentary value.

The map is composed of eight sheets arranged in two rows, depicting the city in remarkable detail. Beyond the map itself, it features a large wind rose, a poem by Jacopo Sannazaro held by a putto, an allegory of Venice based on a drawing by Sebastiano Ricci, and a composition featuring the insignia of the Morosini family. A dedication by Ughi to Doge Aloysio Mocenigo completes the composition.

This 540-piece puzzle reproduces Ughi’s extraordinary map, inviting you to explore its intricate details while discovering the history, architecture and visual richness of 18th-century Venice.
